WHO IS DENNIS DEWEY?
Dennis Dewey is internationally acclaimed as a master biblical storyteller. An
ordained minister of the Presbyterian Church (USA), he has performed and
taught at hundreds of venues all over the world.
He has been featured at the National Storytelling
Festival, Princeton Theological Seminary's Institute of Theology, the
Joseph Campbell Festival, Oxford University and on national television. Dennis
has also served as Executive Director of the
Network of Biblical Storytellers
.
After fourteen years full time at this ecumenical, itinerant storytelling ministry, Dennis Dewey returned to parish ministry in 2007 as Pastor of Stone Presbyterian Church in Clinton, New York. The church supports his storytelling ministry on an ongoing basis as an extension of its mission and as a way of sharing his gifts with the larger church.
Dennis is still accepting invitations to perform and lead workshops and retreats. He also continues to offer storytelling travel opportunities: in 2011 to Greece and Spain, in 2012 to the Holy Land and Scotland. He continues to help churches in planning and leading educational/pilgrimage travel experiences. If you have an interest in such a possibility, please contact him at DenDew@aol.com or 315-797-1163.
Dennis is grateful for all those who have supported this ministry over the
years. He says, "I have been blessed to make friends all over the United States
and Canada and from Sydney to Cape Town to London. I hope that this ministry
has helped change the way the scriptures are heard, and I intend to keep at it
as long as I have breath to tell the story!"
